...and one to go.
Specifically, I am now in possesion of my temporary licence as a life insurance producer in the state of Michigan. And the Accident and Health exam is set for Friday.
Sorry to those people I've been meaning to get a hold of all week. The studying for these tests has been eating a lot more time than I thought it would. and this weekend is my Drill for the month... so busy! *falls over*
Still, I'm excited that things are coming along! it won't be long now til i'm in the trenches and all that good stuff.

Hello, all. Its been a while, I know. Too long. ANyhoo...
I have a Job!
specifically, I'll be an outside sales rep for an insurance company that's specialized in suplimental benefits for Union employees for over 50 years. It is a purely Commisioned job, which is new territory for me, but I've done sales of various sorts before, and I feel that I really can do well.
I just wanted to share the news. I hope everyone is doing great out there! |

hello again all.
so, i havent said here how my tech school is going for a while. it's going really quite well. i'm really enjoying what i am learning, and am looking at different ways to capitalize and build on what i am getting here.
about 5 weeks to go til I get done here and get home. I cannot wait. as good a thing on many levels as this experience is for me, i am homesick like crazy.
i've spoken to many of you through other channels recently, but those i have not, dont be afraid to call or email me!
and Rev, i've tried calling you on a couple of diferent sundays, but got your answering machine. email me with a good time to make contact!

I just pulled off another perfect score on a major test. woot! I continue to be tied for top student with one other person. i've already told him that if this continues through to the end, we'll break the tie with pistols at dawn onthe flightline. *grin* |

well, here I am again. hi everyone.
School is going well, and i contiinue to be tied for top student halfway through the current unit. teh current subject is solid state power supplies, and i am really learnign more and more that working wiht electricity is a good fit for me. I wouldn't have really thought it, but then, i think thats part of a long standing lack of self confidence in my persona competence that i've been realizing was lurking under the surface for a long time.
I have several people that i care about going through rough transitions in their lives in one way or another right now, and i'm not in a position to help, for various reasons. that's never pleasant, but life is like that sometimes. i have had to come to terms withe the fact that i cant be all things to all people, and that means not always being able to make things ok. hell, not often, more like.
well, time to get ready for school/work. need to give myself time for the exercize routine i've installed in my morning. having realized exactly how out of shape i've let myself get, i've started doign a battery of situps, pushups and other assorted calestenics in the morning, at lunch, after work, and sometimes right befor bed. i'm also watching my callorie intake as closely as i everhave, and cut soda out of my diet. most sweets too. going to the base gym and doing cardio at least a few times a week is more of a personal struggle, but i am determined to win my personal battle of the bulge.

got another 100 on a main study bloc test! It's down to me an one other student in my class now for Honor grad. i'll have to see about having him beset by evil Hobos or somesuch...
anyhoo, off to holiday! i leave early tomorow to start my way to see heather and the kids. woot! and also, on the way back, i'll be stopping in on zola extra woot! |

on a lest surreal note from my last post, the last few class day were all about using multimeters to test circuits, and learnign the mathmatical laws that govern how electricity acts in a serial circuit. paralel circuits and circuit level troubleshooting are coming up this week, plus dc motors. |
